Progress Report

02 06 2008
Its been almost 3 weeks since I've been on site for the build so unfortunately I don't have any pic's to show you.  Due to my work commitments I've been away for a while (last week was in HangZhou in China)

Have been on the phone to Di thou who is onsite all the time now.  Progress is going really well and today all the facilities were turned on.  Well almost.  So far the Kitchen is basically finished, with some paint still required.

The outside finishes have all be done on the new build and are looking great. The outside colour apparently looks fantastic and I can't wait to go down and see it all this weekend.

The lights are not all in yet, but will be by Friday and hopefully the bulbs will arrive from the US this weekend for the bathroom light.

The bathroom light is rather a story.  We went to all the showrooms here in Japan for lighting, well National as they seem to have the market sewn up here.  They wanted $500 for this really crappy plastic bathroom light that looked okay but didn't give out much light and was well OVERPRICED!  We went a little a field and checked out site in the US (same voltage) and found Arcadia lighting (actually I think I've covered this).  So light is in, but they didn't send bulbs which are coming this weekend now.

And the sails.  Thats just going to blow everyone away when we start installing the Sails.  I found two sails on sail in EBAY and won the bids.  Fortunately they price was reasonable, because the shipping from the US to here was not.  Still they will be great he say hoping.  I won't even mention how much the shipping was as it was way more than the sails.

The garden is apparently going nuts with growth so it will be alot of fun to see how much its grown.  We haven't put in permenant plants yet and so far its all veges but at least we will get something from it all.
